Appayon Indian Restaurant, not a chain

Appayon has been part of village life since 2001. In that time we have fed first dates that turned into anniversaries, Friday nights after school runs, cricket-club dinners and countless Sunday family tables.

Very little has changed in the kitchen. Our chefs still grind their own spice blends, still marinate overnight for the tandoor, and still cook each sauce to order rather than in advance. What has grown is the number of people who treat this dining room as an extension of their own.

Whether you are joining us at a linen-covered table or collecting on your way home, you are being cooked for by the same kitchen, to the same standard.

Spices ground in our own kitchen, vegetables and herbs delivered through the week, and sauces started from scratch every afternoon before service.

Traditional recipes

Regional Bengali and North Indian cooking our chefs learned at home — balti, passanda, biryani and tandoori dishes made the long way round.

Takeaway, delivery & collection

The same kitchen, at your table

Every takeaway order is cooked to order in the same kitchen as our restaurant service. Collection is usually ready in twenty minutes, and we deliver across Poynton and the nearby villages.
